Installation Guidance
The correct mounting position is essential for proper performance. Gas struts should normally be installed with the cylinder positioned uppermost when the lid is closed.
For most access panels, the brackets are mounted:
- One bracket on the lid interior
- One bracket on the cabinet side wall
- The strut positioned at an angle for progressive lift assistance
If your installation differs or replaces an existing strut, matching the original extended length and force rating is recommended.
