Recommended Mounting Position
- Install one strut on each side of the lid
- Mount approximately 20–30% down from the hinge on the lid panel
- Position the lower L bracket around 300–520mm below the top inside edge of the box frame (adjust based on internal depth and clearance)
- Ensure the strut is slightly compressed when fully closed to maintain correct preload tension
⚠ Force guidance: If the lid is heavier than 72kg, a higher force rating may be required. If the lid is lighter than 40kg, the struts may feel overly strong.
