Recommended Mounting Position:
- Install one strut on each side of the lid
- Mount approximately 20–30% down from the hinge on the lid panel
- Position the lower L bracket around 80–120mm below the top inside edge of the box frame (depending on internal depth)
- Ensure the strut is slightly compressed when fully closed to maintain preload
⚠ If the lid is heavier than 18kg, a higher force rating (e.g. 150N or 200N) may be required. If the lid is lighter than 5kg, the struts may feel too strong.
